Front‑End Engineering & UI Design

I create intuitive, responsive user interfaces for both web and mobile. My modern toolkit is React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript, yet I'm equally comfortable maintaining legacy Bootstrap or jQuery codebases.

Back‑End Development & DevOps

My backend expertise includes building secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and full-stack applications with PHP and Node.js, supported by comprehensive database knowledge in both SQL and MongoDB. I also enhance development workflows through DevOps practices, utilizing Docker, Nginx, automation tools (Playwright, n8n), and server provisioning to deliver complete, production-ready solutions.

I'm Swam Htet Aung, but you can call me Swam. I'm a 24 years old full-stack developer from Myanmar, currently living and working in Thailand. I studied Computer Science for three years, but had to pause and leave the country due to the military coup (it wasn't easy). I'm now continuing my studies online at the University of the People while working full-time as a developer.

Tech Journey

My love for tech started with gaming and evolved into wondering how different tech devices work. I began my dev career with PHP & Laravel, and eventually got into frontend frameworks like React (my favorite), Vue, and Angular. I'm also comfortable with server setups, Linux administration, and managing deployments. I take ownership of what I build and care deeply about clean, scalable code. I enjoy hybrid work setups, collaborative teams, and learning something new every week.

Life Outside Work

I focus a lot on work-life balance and believe that a life outside of work is more important. So you will find me playing video games, watching anime and spending quality time with my family and friends in my leisure time. I also love to travel and my goal is to explore and settle in Europe in the next few years.

Full Stack Developer | Feb 2024 - Present

Currently working as a full stack developer at Befeni Thailand, focusing on building and maintaining web applications related to ecommerce shop that sells custom shirts for customers in Central Europe and a production warehouse application to track shirt production steps using React, Vue.js, PHP and Laravel. Also gained DevOps experience by participating in developing an infrastructure management automation platform which enables environment creation, project deployment and replication with just one click using Terraform (AWS), Packer, and NixOS.
Maintaining and modernizing existing legacy PHP codebases while also developing new features using modern frameworks to enhance user experience and functionality. Involved in frontend, backend, and also server setups and deployments.
Actively participating in code reviews, team meetings, and project planning sessions to enhance collaboration and project outcomes. Learned a lot about Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices to approach any problems/planning in software development.
